I just got the new bobbi skin foundation, the colour is perfect and it does blend well, but its REALLY sheer. even for someone like me who has flawless skin, its really runny, its like putting water on your face :/

i wish they would sell this again

Bobbi is owned by Estee Lauder.. Lauder will do anything to make a dollar. I worked for Bobbi years ago and she said she would never sell a foundation brush because using your finger tips looked more natural. Today Bobbi is selling a foundation brush.. I’m sure lauder had something to do with that.

I love the packaging concept but yes you’re right it is certainly pricey!
If you’re not using it…Give It To Me!!!
I would love to win one of these because I certainly can’t afford them with my budget as a starting MUA
Thanks for the honest review btw

I don’t know why you received two thumbs down. You’re absolutely right. Stick foundation is only for covering blemishes and for touch ups.
January 19th, 2010 at 10:23 am
gee, and there was i thinking that she came out with a touch up stick as well – oh – she did! the compact form is for foundation (at least according to BB) – i like more bobbi brown products than i dislike – and yes, the price for this is stupid for the amount you get and lauder knows this – but thats another story. i have always liked BB foundations – marketing has got EVERYTHING to do with it.

foundation stick in a compact form is only for touch ups. The compact is available for ladies who do alot of travelling, or just 2 keep in their purse for TOUCH UP & the reason why its called new skin foundation, It feels like your on skin, you 4get that your wearing a foundation when you have it on. No matter how many times you apply, it still feel like the first application. Its got nothing to do with the marketing. Your just pissed off cause the price.

BB stuff are always expensive and easy to get expire. Although I really like their color tone and their book, I seldom use it either.
January 19th, 2010 at 11:13 am
i also have one of those and used it just to touch my face up, it lasted less than a month, it really doesnt last and slipped off my oily skin

Thanks for your honesty!

Wow,you are amazing! I barely started wearing foundation, due to my skin changeing on me. I was looking for something moisturizing, and ended up buying MAC’s moisturecream or something..lol I was gonna try BB, but i think i’ll stay away. Thank u for being so honest . Need a brush though, not sure what to use, i’m useing the sponge it came with..YIKES!!! What would be best?

Excellent point about the marketing of some of these companies. I also agree with you on the cost of Bobbi’s products. I used to work for the line a few years ago and she really does have some great items in her line but they are very over priced. Also, unless I’m mistaken, she doesn’t offer any discounts for professionals which I think is a huge mistake for her company.

I actually like these for toting in my purse. But you’re right, the price difference is a lot.

it gives a sheer coverage and feels lighter than other foundations. My skin is combination not that oily really but the skin foundation played havoc with my skin! the skin foundations are really nice though.
January 19th, 2010 at 1:53 pm
Oh no, I was thinking about getting it. I have dry skin, thought it would be nice. Do you have oily skin?
