I think you are right I washed my face with cold water for an experiment and the very next day I had about 3 big lumpy bumpy sports and it really hurts.
it doesn’t burn for me when i use it . its kinda minty and tingly i guess. if you experience burning i think you could apply less and wait for about 5mins then wash it off . probably your skin is sensitive.
It doesn’t matter whether you use cold or hot water. You don’t have to worry about opening up your pores to clean them. So both cold and hot water does the same.
i truly believe it got something to do with redness and irritation dough, because when i take a shower with hot water i end up with my face very irritated, that doesnt happen when i use warm/cold water..

ur not to literally put hot water on ur face.. if it hurts, to hot.. i just use a bit more than luke warm water

I use lukewarm water which I think works best. It smooths your skin a bit but doesn’t irritate your spots as much!

Random question: Dan, how do you feel about home made remedys? Not only for acne, but for dry skin even.
I’ve used tuns of ”home made” scrubs and such…and they did hydrate my skin but I was wondering if it does any long term damage.
