How to hide Acne/Acne scars!
We all have them. I happen to REALLY have them- usually at any given time there are about 6 on my face, and usually located on my cheeks. I also have some scarring that I fear will never go away. But throughout the two years that I’ve had this problem, I’ve learned how to perfect the method of covering them up. I hope that this video is useful to those of you who are really struggling with acne. It’s a terrible plague upon the face- I NEVER go anywhere without applying at LEAST concealer. I …

@bloodfalcon7722 not if you use products that contain salicylic acid, as these eat up the dirt and bacteria that your skin comes in contact every day, including preventing the makeup you wear from clogging your pores.
Also, products that are labeled ‘non comedogenic’ will not clog pores.

Dryness can actually make your pimples worse.
taking of layers of skin yourself is VERY dangerous. Be careful if you decide against going to a professional and having it done the right way.

does this make pimples worsen

I had acne much worse than this. I used to skip school for a month at a time because it was so bad. Remember this: DRYNESS IS YOUR FRIEND! High potency benzoil is ok, but retin A is much better! ( buy it from Mexico it is MUCH cheaper than buying here (after Dr. visit etc) It is sold over the counter and a little goes a LONG way. Also, it lasts years if kept in a dark-kinda cool place. You can also buy glycolic acid on ebay or to remove scars..TCA on ebay. BUT always use common sense & read ..

They have faded, but more have grown in their place :-/ I’ve tried fading creams but I’m not really sure if they work. I heard that apple cider vinegar mixed with green tea, honey, and sugar as a scrub used once a week works to fade them, as well as the vinegar+green tea as a toner every night (though it smells terrible) and aspirin masks (aspirin, water, and honey) also work. I’m going to start trying those this week so I’ll probably post a video on the results!

it doesn’t, you have to let the cover up dry a few seconds and then, usually if you pat the brush over areas with cover up instead of drag it along, it won’t smudge. When you pat it, though, don’t have too much foundation on the brush because it will really slap on the makeup and it will look cakey, so it’s better to layer it on. and then, I buff it out with a soft kabuki. (i just recently started doing this) and if you take away some of the cover, you can always add more flesh colored concealer

Thankyou for the vid it was a big help
Just one question though , I use a foundation brush too and I was wondering if when you use it does it smudge all of the cover up ?

Currently, I am trying Neutrogena Skin-Clearing Oil Free makeup in classic ivory. It’s got .5% salicylic acid to keep the dirt from getting in my pores, and I haven’t been breaking out any more.
I still use the same concealer, but in stick form.
I have EXTREMELY oily skin, very acne-prone and just horrible to deal with, haha. I will be happy to make an updated foundation routine for you

what foundation r u using now? and what type of skin do u have, for example oily, dry or combo? Also if u have time can u do an updated foundation routine. BY the way ur video was very helpful. Thanks !

apply to products that are non-comedogenic. Since it was brought to my attention that Revlon Colorstay makeup is actually not non-comedogenic (through a comment on this video, actually) I switched products and haven’t had problems with breakouts since.

As long as you apply creams to the effected area twice a day and use products that are non-comedogenic, acne will not be irritated further. Since this video, my face has actually cleared up quite a bit, and i’ve been using this method every day since my acne first started. I use concealer and foundation now just to cover up the intense scarring my acne has left behind, and don’t break out any more from it. What people tell you about makeup irritating break outs usually refer to products that

i dont think applying so much stuff to the acne areas is smart, i would just leave em alone and apply the stuff ur dermatologist gave u

you can find Physicians Formula products at drugstores like CVS and Rite Aid. if money isn’t an issue, you can go to a Macy’s or Sephora and try/purchase Dermablend. They have a huuuuge range of colors, I bought my bf’s lil sis a Dermablend cream foundation/concealer n it works wonders on her.
