I have been using this product for a while and I find that it’s the only thing that helps to control minor acne. It doesn’t stop my major acne episodes from occurring due to stress, hormones, etc. But overall, it really helps fade the acne scars and marks quickly. I’ve been using some form of this product from Neutrogena since college. It’s a part of my daily regimen, and not routinely available at my local pharmacy.

This really is a great product. I’m 36 have always had acne–not horrible, but I pretty much always have a few. As I’ve gotten older I esp. have problems with blackheads on my chin. Could NOT get rid of them, and everything I tried was too dry on my skin. This product helps the blackheads and does not leave my skin nasty and flaky.
Also, I have a lot of scars on my chin (not acne ones, regular ones from an accident), and this product doesn’t dry them out either which, if you have any scars, you will know is a plus.
BUT…I don’t care for the scent much–it smells fake and sicky-sweet. If they made this in an unscented or fresher scent, I’d give it 5 stars!

guys, this works. make sure you’re not allergic to it first before you complain. Actually, I’m quite thankful that finally the strength of these acne products are starting to show some signs of enlightenment. I bought this elsewhere for $6 something. It’s cheap and works just fine. just make sure you are using this for 2-3 weeks. your face will clear up. Severe acne ppl, use Benzoyl peroxide product. Salicylic products are good for mild to moderate acne prone. if you’re face is too dry after which often will be, then use an oilfree moisterizer or a hydrating lotion.

I’ve used Neutrogena skin products for years, and been very pleased with them. The “Acne Stress Control” line (foaming wash, 3-in-1 toner and 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treament), however, contains a very distinct and strong perfume that made it unusable for me. The scent made me slightly nauseated, and was strong enough that my boyfriend commented on it (and not in a positive way).
For the brief period of time I used it (2 weeks), these products didn’t seem to work any better than products with similar active ingredients in other Neutrogena lines.

…but it made me break out horribly all during the 6 weeks I used it. I kept hoping my skin was just undergoing a good cleaning-out and would improve, but it never did. The unusually strange breakouts halted abruptly as soon as I stopped using it. I love the 3-in-1 Toner and order it in bulk! I just can’t use this particular product.
