The product works as advertised but with a MAJOR drawback. The benzoil peroxide produces discoloration in clothes and pillows by bleaching.

This product is good. I like that it doesn’t leave a residue on your skin and is almost invisible when applied. As for its effectiveness, it does work, but expect it to be many applications before the pimple is gone. Don’t buy this product intending it to make a pimple vanish in a day, it’s not magic. I use it everyday on difficult blemishes that woudn’t go away, and about 4-5 days later it was gone. If I would have left it alone to heal, it would have gone away longer in about 1-2 weeks. It comes in a little tube, but I’ve found that even using it everyday, one tube will last a long time.
Although there wasn’t irritation when I initially started using this, lately it’s been causing redness and itching if I don’t wash the area after a few hours. Maybe this is just an isolated case, but don’t take the claim of being for sensitive skin too seriously.

I’ve tried many over the counter and prescription acne products, and this one is definitely most effective for me. It is a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide solution which is actually more effective than the 10% solutions and is far less irritating. It’s name is “On-the-Spot,” but my dermatologist instructed me to use is all over as a preventative measure, as it is relatively gentle compared to some other treatments. Just use a moisturizer with sunscreen after applying it. As with ALL benzoyl peroxide treatments, there is a risk of bleaching to clothing. I’ve noticed that it really only bleaches lighter colors, such as pastels and some grays, but I’ve never had it bleach anything with bold colors such as black, navy, gold, etc.

A note about my skin-type: I am a upper-30s pale-skinned female with extremely oily skin. I always thought my oiliness would decrease as I aged, but instead, it has only increased! Oh well, maybe when I hit 40?
This is one of tried-and-true products I feel I can’t live without. Primarily I use it on my nose all day, every day, to control oil and shine; for this area, this product seems to have the perfect balance; haven’t had a breakout there in a long time now and the oil is greatly reduced with only rare peeling. However it is a little too strong for such frequent applications on any other part of my face, chest, and back. While it doesn’t irritate those areas upon application, it can do so a few hours following application. This normally only happens after applying to those areas several days in a row. I never get any such irritation at any time in my oiliest areas.
I do have to make sure the cream is thoroughly absorbed before applying makeup, else my makeup doesn’t apply smoothly.
As other reviewiers have mentioned, if you apply this before bed, be sure to use a white pillowcase in the very least; use white bed sheets as well if applied to neck, chest, or back. Do not apply to chest/back before wearing a favorite dark t-shirt! This product does cause colored fabrics to fade.
