I really love the Lush Tea Tree Water for spraying throughout the day. It’s naturally antibacterial. It’s not alcohol based so it won’t dry out your skin.
This was a great tip. I have also noticed that if my brush touches any active acne i.e. broken open pimples and use the same brush on other areas, it spreads the germs and I get new breakouts. Also I was wondering throughout the day when your skin gets oily, would it be ok to spray this to make the skin dry? I don’t really like blotting during the day as I am paranoid to touch my skin even with blotting paper and feel leads to contamination…
I do also have to be careful with what I put on my skin. I have dermatitis on my cheeks, they are always bright red and itchy (they dont burn, not to be confused with acne rosacea) and my skin is very very sensitive. I am sensitive to so many ingredients.
Through trial and error I’ve figured out a lot of my acne is caused by germs, and the others by hormones with occasional cosmetic caused ones. I have to be careful about what goes on my face, or what I touch before touching my face. I know this video makes me look like a germ destroying crazy person, but I really don’t do all of this on a regular basis lol. Brushes & work surface and clean hands I am strict with myself about though. You’re lucky the germs don’t attack, it sucks butt.
Most brush cleansers active ingredient that sanitizes is alcohol. So you could, but it might dry the bristles out if used too often. It’s harsher than brush cleanser, and the cleanser also will have other ingredients to add moisture back into the bristles. I do spray em sometimes though, like after acne accidents or if I drop it on the floor, etc.

I’ve never got it in my eyes, as long as you keep em closed it’s ok. I just wanted to make it very clear to viewers so I don’t cause an accident lol

…. i think you should start spritzing your alcohol on a cotton ball… that way you don’t have to worry about it getting in your eyes… just a thought =)

It also reduces inflammation in blemishes as well.

Good tip. Witch hazel works well also and is less drying to your skin.
