I been using clearasil ultra for my acne but it’s a little to harsh for my skin and hasn’t been working that well. I’ve been using it for about 2 months and the acne goes away but leaves horrale red dots and by time they go away new acne comes. Does anyone know a simple home remedy to make that will help my acne, and maybe even help my dry skin? Also if you know any good products for acne that works well let me know. Thanks.

Pimples for the most part are really nothing but mild forms of acne. They appear in two forms: blackheads and whiteheads. It becomes difficult to cure pimples when they develop into cysts that contain pus. Some of the most prevalent pimple treatments are listed down here in the order of their usage by those who suffer from pimples.
Instant Remedies – Undoubtedly the first forms of treatment that pimple sufferers would prefer are easily available instant remedies such as creams, gels, herbal face packs etc. Most of these remedies which are commercially sold contain azelaic acid and hyaluronic acid. These two acids aid the generation of natural collagen in the skin and cause tightening of the skin. It is not necessary for one to have a dermatologist’s prescription in order to buy these products. They can be found in all medical stores. Various brands produce a number of pimple treatments and products based on the severity of the pimples. It is however advised that one does not resort to over usage because it would cause some adverse effects.
Home-made remedies – The next thing an individual would do when commercial products fail to cure pimples is undertaking home based pimple treatments. Good dietary practices such as not consuming fried foods and taking in more vegetables and fresh fruits are part of home remedies. Vitamin A,B,C tablets and zinc also do come under home based pimple treatments. Home remedies are very easy to follow and they are more effective when combined with other chemical treatments.
Oral and prescription drugs – These treatments are supposed to be used only when over the counter products fail to cure the pimple trouble and it is essential to get a dermatologist’s prescription before starting to use them. Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are two of the most widely used topical applications. Some of the oral medications include retin-A, isotretinonin, tetracycline and birth control pills. In real, a combination of drugs is prescribed by dermatologists in order to ward off pimples. But these treatments work best only for moderate to severe pimples. Cure in these cases come along with side effects as dizziness, rashes, nausea, redness and dryness of skin. Therefore it may be essential for individuals to take all kinds of precautionary measures, when they undertake these type of treatments and methods.
Surgical Methods – The absolute last resort I would recommend is surgical procedures if all other methods mentioned above fail to cure the problem. Thanks to the rapid advancements in technology, we now have a lot of surgical procedures to help us get rid of pimples. Dermabrasion, surgical incision, punch incision and light therapy are some of the most commonly used surgical pimple treatments. It is required of a patient to sit through 3-6 sessions in order to get the desired result. Apart from demanding more money from the patient, surgical procedures also demand a lot of extra care and efforts to sustain the result obtained.
Alternative Procedures – The formation and appearance of pimples can be restricted due to a huge extent when a combination of the treatments mentioned above is used. But it has to be noted that treatment methods belonging to various traditional medicinal practices throughout the country are emerging as the contenders for pimple treatments. People are unwilling to follow these methods because of lack of proper knowledge. These traditional medicinal systems include yoga, hypnosis, acupressure, acupuncture, homoeopathy, mind and cognitive therapy. The one factor that unites all these traditional methods of curing pimples is the concept that ‘identifying the real cause would reveal the best remedy’. These methods normally give the desired results, but patience is definitely required because they take some time and effort with the healing process and may vary with each individual.

There is nothing worse than waking up in the morning, looking in the mirror, and there it is in all its glory. A brand new shiny pimple stuck on your face. It’s a never ending battle, no sooner do you get one cleared away then a new pimple pops up in a different spot. No matter what you do or the latest treatment you try your pimples just keep coming back. So what causes these embarrassing outbreaks? Propionibacterium acnes; otherwise known as bacteria. This bacteria, which normally lives on the skin, is able to grow in plugged hair follicles or pores. Normally sebum, and oily substance that flows to the skins surface, keeps the bacteria from entering the follicle. Pimples develop when the sebum, cells called keratinocytes that line the follicle and the hair itself form a plug allowing the bacteria to enter and grow in the plugged follicle. The body reacts to this invasion by sending white blood cells that cause inflammation. Eventually the wall of the plugged follicle disintegrates and the infection spreads into the surrounding skin leading to lesions and pimples. There are several factors which lead to these outbreaks of pimples and for some people make an already bad condition worse. • Hormones – This is particularly true of teens going through puberty as well as a womans hormone changes during her monthly menstrual cycle, pregnancy and even the birth control pills she is taking. • Oil from skin products and cosmetics. • Pressure from tight or restrictive clothing, sports helmets, backpack straps and anything else that does not allow the skin to breathe. • Pollution and high humidity • Squeezing and picking at pimples. • Scrubbing your skin to hard. • Stress. Contrary to popular belief the foods you eat do not lead to the formation of pimples. There is little scientific evidence that proves that chocolate and greasy foods cause outbreaks of pimples. This does not mean that you should eat a bunch of un-healthy food either. A proper diet will help your body deal with any of the stresses that may lead to outbreaks in a much easier way. A home remedy for pimples includes the following: • Cleaning your skin gently, particularly your face. It is best to use a mild cleanser twice a day. Do not scrub your face with a rough scour pad and do not use an astringent except for on very oil spots. You can make your pimples worse if you aren’t gentle with your skin care. • Don’t pick at and pop your pimples. As fun as this may be for some people it can lead to scarring and dark skin blotches. • Shaving carefully. Make sure your razor is sharp and thoroughly soften your whiskers with warm soap and water. Nicking existing blemishes can make your pimple outbreaks worse. • Don’t over expose your skin to the sun. While it may appear that a nice tan makes your pimples go away in reality it only makes them less visible. The risks of over exposure to the sun, rapid skin aging and skin cancer, far outweigh any benefit a tan will have for your condition. • Cosmetics. It is best to choose cosmetics that are oil free. Look for labels that say noncomedogenic. This means they will not lead to clogged pores. Just about everyone deals with outbreaks of pimples during their life. Nearly 80% of people between the ages of 11 and 30 are affected by them at least once in their life. Most people tend to see their outbreaks disappearing in their thirties; however, some people in their 40s and 50s continue to suffer from this skin problem. A home remedy for pimples is about following some simple guidelines and common sense. If you are careful with your skin care and follow these tips chances are your pimples will disappear.

There are many home remedies that you can use to treat acne and to prevent it. While chemical products can work, there are natural ways of fighting off these infections as well. Are these processes going to work for you? It is important to realize that not all acne can be treated and prevented. Some of it is inherited. And, not all of these things will help you either. Some work for some people and others work for others. Nonetheless, here are some of the many home remedies that you can use for the treatment of acne.
1. There are some combinations of everyday items that can help you. For example, some claim that using one teaspoon of lemon juice and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder will help to rid the skin of zits.
2. If you already have acne, you can take a supplement of Colloidal Silver. This product is a natural antibiotic that can help to rid the skin of pimples. It can be taken in a pill form or applied directly to the pimple itself.
3. If you know anything about homeopathic remedies, you may want to try this combination. Kali Bromatum, Herpa Sulphuris, Antimonium Tartaricum, and Sulphur combined make a very good product for the prevention of zits. If you already have them, this combination can be excellent for getting rid of them faster.
4. Lavender oil is another excellent choice. This essential oil when applied to the skin directly can help to prevent and get rid of zits.
5. Another antibiotic to use is Tea Tree Oil. This product has gotten a lot of attention because of its many uses. In this case, you can apply it directly to the affected area to start seeing results. It will fight the infection and bacteria causing the pimples.
6. Looking for something that you may have at home to use? The use of garlic can also help. Most of the time, you’ll want to use garlic capsules though. They can help because it boosts the immune system allowing it to better fight off the bacteria.
7. Lastly, probably the most basic of all choices is just as simple as eating a well balanced diet and including exercise in your daily routine.
