How to get rid of Severe Acne

hubpages.com Severe Acne is the worst type of acne you can get. It is important to know you are not alone if you have severe acne. There are solutions that may help. It is important that you don’t pick or pop your pimples as this may cause scarring. Being a severe acne sufferer myself i know how important it is to choose a good quality acne treatment. If you are still having trouble with your acne you can see a dermatologist who may prescribe you to antibiotics to control this skin disease. Remember if you have severe acne it can be cured so don’t feel down speak to a family member, a doctor, or get some good advice.

How do I get rid of my acne that’s becoming severe again?

I’ve tried so many acne products, including proactive, tea tree oil, spectro gel, neutrogena, home remedies, and nothing could get rid of my acne. I then took accutane, which cures acne, and it worked, but a year later it came back so I took it a second time. Now it’s a year later after my second time using accutane, and my face is getting horrible again (you can’t take Accutane more than 2 times). What can I do?

Acne Heal for Mild, Moderate and Severe Acne

All of us have experienced acne some time or the other in our lives. There is a common misconception that acne is experienced by people only during their teenage and adolescence. Howsoever, isolated cases of acne have been seen even in people in their thirties and forties. And of course, almost everybody has heard certain home remedies for an acne attack.

Though acne is normally evident only on the face, it can occur almost anywhere on the body, especially the arms, legs, back and neck. Acne can be generally categorized into three categories: severe, moderate and mild. Therefore, before deciding on a acne heal, you should diagnose what type of acne you have.

Several people decide to use off the shelf medication for acne, which does have positive results. Though this is a common practice when it comes to acne, it is not always safe. Also, due to self medication or off the shelf medication, acne can even increase. Hence, the best bet for natures cure acne is a certified professional like a dermatologist.

Severe acne is the most serious of all three of the acne categories. If the acne is severe, you will notice that the pimples and zits have become more prominent, inflamed and almost like a cyst. Severe acne is the last stage of acne and is comparatively more difficult to cure than mild or moderate acne. If you do have such a kind of acne, the only treatment you should have is to consult a dermatologist. When the acne has reached this stage, dermatologists will have not other choice but to opt for a aggressive cure to prevent the further progress of acne. Dermatologists may use a combined cure of antibiotics, medication, injections and surgical incisions, depending on the extremity of the acne.

To cure mild acne, you should first wash the affected area with warm water and soap. You can also use any over the shelf creams which contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid along with the soap water. These kill the bacteria present in the epidermis of the skin.

When almost half of the face is covered with pimples, zits and blackheads, the condition may be considered as moderate acne. Most acne is treatable, but moderate acne does not take much time to turn into severe acne. Severe acne is more difficult to treat and may even require surgery for complete cure.

In any case, getting complete and comprehensive knowledge about your acne is the most important aspect of cure for acne. If you do not have the proper knowledge and indulge in wrong or weaker natural acne cure, it will just help the acne to grow, till it reaches a stage where it can be cured only by a dermatologist.
